Our Licenses

TwentyPeople International distributes its products under different licenses. The license is specified in the README file of the project, or in the source code if it's viewable.

TwentyPeople Open License (TPOL)

The TPOL states that you're free to downloaduse, share and modify the product, with the following terms.
All the modifications done to the product...
  • Can be freely used by the author of the modifications.
  • Can be uploaded to GitHub if you fork the project, modify it and send us a pull request.
  • Can NOT be uploaded anywhere if they aren't in GitHub as said above.
  • Can be uploaded anywhere after the pull request is accepted.
All the terms mentioned above...
  • Are flexible and can be changed with prior contact to TwentyPeople International.

TwentyPeople Gratis Open License (TPGOL)

Note: Gratis as in "free beer".
The TPGOL states that you're free to download, use, share, modify and re-upload the product, with the following term:
  • All the re-uploads of the product must credit TwentyPeople Europe as the original developer and TwentyPeople International as the original distributor.

TwentyPeople Gratis Closed License (TPGCL)

Note: Gratis as in "free beer".
The TPGCL states that you're free to download and use the product, but you:
  • Can NOT share the product, it must be downloaded from the TPI Distribution Center.
  • Can NOT modify the product, since the source isn't available.
  • Can NOT re-upload the product, since the modification is forbidden.

TwentyPeople Libre Restricted License (TPLRL)

Note: Libre as in "free speech".
The TPLRL states that you're free to modify the product's source, and you're free to share and re-upload those modifications, but you:
  • Can NOT freely download/use the final product; but you can download the sources and manage to compile them freely.

TwentyPeople Restricted License (TPRL)

The TPRL states that you're free to modify the non-privative parts of the product's source, and you're free to share and re-upload those modifications, but you.
  • Can NOT freely download/use the final product; but you can download the non-privative (free) sources and compile them freely.
This means that, although some of the sources are available and the result of the compilation of them is usable, you won't have some privative, non-free features, that you have to pay for.

All the licenses above (TP/ALL)

The TP/ALL terms are:
  • You can NOT sell the product or any of the modifications made by you or anybody.
